Remember to check this blog on the day of the class for last minute changes/cancellations - we are English so will do the class in most weather (we are used to the rain!) and one of us should always be able to come but check here just in case.

No olvides a leer este blog el día de la clase por si a caso tengamos que cancelar al ultimo minuto - somos inglésas y harémos la clase incluso si hace mal tiempo (estamos acustombradas al lluvia!) y una de nosotros siempre tendria que venir pero es mejor confirmar aqui por si a caso.

Summer timetable/Horario de verano

There will be no class tomorrow (Monday 5th July) as we are currently re-thinking the timtable for summer - it's just too hot in the midday sun even for us crazy Englishwomen.
Will let you know when we have something sorted......we are open to any suggestions.

No habrá clase mañana (lunes 5 de julio), estamos pensando en cambiar el horario para verano - simplemente hace demasiado calor en el sol de mediodía incluso para las locas inglesas.
Os dirémos cuando hayamos arreglado algo........estamos abiertos a alguna surgerencia.

What should I wear?

Wear loose fitting comfortable clothes for the class with practical shoes that you can walk in (leave the heels and miniskirts at home I'm afraid ladies!). You will know if you need to wear a sports bra for brisk walking so we will leave that to your discretion!
The only other equipment you need is your buggy/stroller/pram/cochecito and a baby carrier if you have one (and, of course, your baby!).

Ven a la clase en ropa suelta y comoda con zapatos practicos (deja las tacones y la minifalda en casa chicas!). Tu sabrás si necesitas un sujetador de deportes para caminar rapidamente...decidas tu!
La unica otra cosa que necestitarás es el cochecito y, si tienes, una mochilla portabebé (y, por supuesto, tu bebé!).

Benefits of pospartum exercise

The benefits of exercise are the same for new mums as for anyone else- better health, increased energy, more efficient metabolism, better sleep and of course weight loss and toning. The postpartum period is traditionally a sedentary time making it even more important that you make the effort to get on the move once in a while.
Benefits of CorreCoching particularly relevant to new mums are: making friends and contacts, getting out of the house (at least once in the day!), relief of “baby-blues”, aids recovery of pelvic floor muscles, doing something for yourself and feeling good.It helps baby to sleep, too…!

A few precautions

Do not exercise until you have had the all-clear from your doctor. This is usually 6 weeks for a vaginal birth and at least 10 weeks for a caesarean.
Make sure you eat something small about an hour before the class and again eat something afterwards to replenish your energy.
Keep hydrated, bring water with you, we do ‘watering’ stops along the route.
Wear a hat and sunscreen when it’s hot.
Inform the group leader if you feel light-headed, dizzy or ill at any point.
Do not exercise if you are exceptionally tired and exhausted (although let's face it we are all mums of babies so we are all a bit tired!).
